IGI MAXIMO MAKES WAVES IN ROAD RACE

JUNIOR CYCLING champion Luis Miguel “Igi” Maximo held his own against a 32-man field Men Category C to finish in the top 10 in yesterday's Uling (Naga) Road Race.

The 15 years old cyclist placed 9th in the category topped by Raffy Bacayan with second and third places going to Ryan Ocanada and Romy Adlawan, respectively.

The Uling road race started at 8 a.m. and had 94 cyclists rolling off from Lawa-an, Talisay City, Cebu, passing Minglanilla town onwards to Uling, Naga for a total distance of approximately 38km.

The Men Catgory B was ruled by Ramon Espinosa who was trailed by Boy Pagnanawon in second place and Edgar Ompoc in third place.

Jaime Noynay dominated the Men Category D with Keijo Kuha and Nelson Jaca salvaging second and third place, respectively.

The MTB Open had Rolly Cabalona finishing at the top. He was followed by Negro in second place and Nilo Barbalose in third place.
