MANILA TIMES. MARK GUEVARRA’S dream of becoming a Tour of Luzon champion finally came true.

The 23-year old Guevarra, virtually unknown at the start of this prestigious cycling event, bucked the dreaded Baguio-to-Baguio “killer lap” to capture the Liquigaz-LPGMA Tour of Luzon crown on Saturday during its crucial sixth stage.

“I’m very, very happy,” said the Caloocan native Guevarra, who had forgettable finishes in the 2006 (19th) and 2007 (24th) Padyak Pinoy tour. “My goal is to enter in the Top 10, so that I can represent the country as a national team member.”...
