A total of 700 runners will assemble today for the Pink Run at IMEZ Pueblo Verde, Basak Lapu-Lapu City, an event jointly organized by the Eduardo J. Aboitiz Cancer Center and I Can Serve Foundation.

Assembly is an hour before the gun start at 4 p.m. for the 3K, 5K and 10K divisions.

The run serves as the culmination of the groups’ month-long celebration of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Cebu and the proceeds will be used for the benefit of the breast cancer patients and the groups’ ongoing programs.

There will be a free mammography and biopsy tests to all women.

Philippine Junior cyclist Luis Miguel Maximo and sister Ana Patricia will also be among the runners in the event that promotes cancer awareness.

“We will again dedicate this run to all the cancer survivors out there,” said Luis Miguel.
