CEBU, Philippines - Luis Miguel "Igimax" Maximo, Cebu's most popular junior cyclist, will test an equipment from a new sponsor as well as apply whatever he learned out of his trip from Spain in the two-day Tour of Bohol today.

Maximo has just been sponsored by Fizik through YKK Trading. Fizik is an Italian cycling company that manufactures high performance saddles.

"I am thankful for the support they have given me. I know that Fizik saddles are the best in cycling. The seat is made of high quality material and it won't hurt my butt even if I do a century (100km) ride. Aside from that, it is very light at 175grams which helps keep my racing bike lightweight,” said the 16 year-old Igimax.

The Fizik saddle will be good for the Paref-Springdale Student Council president and top athlete as he puts his learnings out of watching the Giro de Italia and Vuelta a EspaƱa live.

“How I feel of my ride with the Fizik saddle, I will have to inform them for their Research & Development (R&D) efforts," added Igimax, who is also backed up by Ridley, Token, Lazer, FSA, Kenda, YKK and OZ Racing.

Aside from Igimax, several executive and veteran riders from Cebu will also see action in the Bohol event, which features a 90-kilometer road race from Loay to Jagna (vice versa) and an individual time trial covering 20 kilometers from Loay to Bilar via the man-made forest. - (THE FREEMAN)
