TITLE favorites Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) and Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) will face each other in today’s action-packed resumption of the 10th CESAFI High School Football Championship at the University of San Carlos – Talamban Campus (USC-TC).
DBTC is looking to pad its 3-point lead and strengthen its title retention bid, while SHS-AdC hopes to snatch the lead and return to the top of the leaderboard.
SHS-AdC had the lead after the opening games when it beat the University of Southern Philippine Foundation (USPF) 6-2, but DBTC promptly snatched the upperhand following its, 18-0 rout of USC-NC in its first match.
With DBTC owning the tournament's top goal scorers, SHS-AdC’s bid to steal the lead is expected to face rough sailing.
DBTC's Junjay Arizabal and Miguel Caindec scored four goals each in their match against USC-NC.
USC-NC, on the other hand, will try to snatch a win as it goes up against the USPF in today’s second match.
USC-NC lost to the University of San Jose Recoletos (USJ-R), 0-1 in its first match.
USJ-R, which is currently No.3 in the standings with three points and a goal difference of three will be sitting out today's matches. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
