DANAO City Councilor Oscar "Boying" Rodriguez will be leaving his post as the sports commission head of the city on a high note, with several events scheduled this month.

The last weekend of the month will cap Rodriguez's final days and he has prepared for it big time.

"We have a multi-sport weekend and we prepared more than P100,000.00 in cash prizes." said Rodriguez.

The events this weekend are the road and mountain bike races, 10K and 6K run, sprint and standard triathlon.  He will also have kayak and pumpboat races.

Last weekend, Rodriguez successfully staged the triathlon event that opened the charter day celebration of the city.

Noy Jopson won the men's division, over Elmo Clarabal and Ralph Arche.  National team member Lorhiz Echavez topped Arren Llegretti and Janice Bautista in the Women's division.

Mendel Lopez, Loren Dale Exhavez and Ruben Pilapil also won the relay event over Hanzel Bagamo, Jobert Carolino and Lito Barcenas.  Alex Qui, Igi Maximo and Felix Lopez finished third.  MCB
