Kenyans runners David Kipsang and Peris Chepkech Poywo ruled the men’s and women’s 42k Condura Run Sunday at the Global City in Taguig.
The 27-year-old Kipsang, clocked 2:38.02, more than 50 seconds ahead of brothers Elmer and Crisenciano Sabal to bag the P60,000 top prize.
Poywo, on the other hand, checked in at 3:16:48 to rule the distaff side. Another Kenyan, Susan Chemutai, finished second at 3:19:52.
For finishing second and third place, respectively, Elmer won P40,000 and Crisenciano, the 2005 and 2007 Milo marathon champion and Southeast Asian Games veteran, received P20,000.
Brothers Ton and Patrick Concepcion awarded the prizes to the winners in the P300,000 event.
Eric Panique ruled the men’s 21k with 1:12.53, beating Alquin Bolivar and Alley Quisay while Maricel Maquilan won the women's event in 1:30.59 with Nhea Ann Barcena and Jacqueline Rohback coming in second and third, respectively.
